Roger has more than thirty years construction industry experience as a licensed contractor, business owner and master painter, specializing in custom projects. He and Sandy made Ness Painting & Decorating well-known in the Bay Area for superb workmanship and service, building a loyal clientele.

In addition to four years formal training in a Painters Union apprenticeship program that earned him journeyman status, Roger has completed numerous special courses in property improvements and maintenance.

Like many of you, we first came to Western North Carolina on vacation and decided there was no better place to live. In a giant leap of faith, we closed our successful contracting business in the San Francisco Bay Area, sold our house and moved here in 2004. Today we've settled in to our new life, become active in the community and made many wonderful friends.

Here's some information about our training and experience. We often joke that Sandy may have the creative idea, but Roger is the one who makes it happen. We think that we're a great team and the perfect combination of inspiration and expert implementation.
